Graduation!

Recently I have been having a lot of current Berkeley students add me to their Facebook and MySpace pages. I never really come on campus anymore but it’s funny how they still remember me and the things I used to do on campus. It’s really nice seeing that people remember you even though you are no longer around.

I e-mailed Ms. Young the other day to see what has been going on around the campus. Ms. Young is the Director of Student Development at the Garret Mountain campus who is in charge of most activities on the campus. I don’t have access to the same Blackboard as regular students anymore so I can’t see what’s going on at the campus. She sent me a calendar of events for the next month and told me when the SGA meetings are going to be held. The meetings are starting on the 19th at 3:30 in the afternoons in the Community Room. I will definitely have to attend some meetings this quarter to see how things are running.

Something I haven’t really thought about is graduation! I totally got caught up in working and doing other things that I totally forgot that walking graduation is only a few months away. I cannot believe how fast time flew. Last year I had the privilege of walking graduation with the graduating class because I carried their flag. It wasn’t my graduation but I got a small taste of what graduation will be like for me. I remember they did all these different awards for students who did an outstanding job in their college career and people who did great things for their communities. I’m curious to see as to who will get those awards this year. It must be so exciting.

Now that I got this thought in my head I have to find out all the details about the graduation. I always like to know where everything is going on and when it is. I will have to tell Ms. Young and Dean Hughes that if they need help with anything to let me know. I am very excited now!
